OUR PRIORITIES
Five priorities. One mission.
Active Citizens Partnership works across five connected priorities — each grounded in fifteen years of European-funded project work. Together they reflect our belief that genuine social change requires multiple, complementary forms of action.
THE AREAS WHERE WE WORK
Five priorities, deeply connected.
Each priority below represents a distinct area of expertise — and a body of European-funded work we have delivered since 2009. Click any priority to see our approach, what we deliver, and the projects we have completed in that area.
Inclusion
Equal access for people
with fewer opportunities
From migrants to people with disabilities, from low-skilled workers to communities at the geographic edge — our inclusion work builds the skills, tools, and networks that turn European policy commitments into lived reality.
Digital
Digital skills, AI literacy,
and the future of learning
From digital skills programmes to AI competence frameworks, from online learning platforms to interactive content — we have been building digital capability in education since the early days of e-learning, including pioneering AI-in-education work since 2018.
Climate
Education for the
green transition
Climate change is an education challenge as much as an environmental one. Our work builds eco-literacy, green skills, and climate action capability — reaching adults outside formal education with practical, accessible learning.
Equality
Gender equality, rights,
and equal opportunities
From gender-based violence prevention to workplace equality, from human rights education to anti-discrimination training — our equality work moves beyond awareness into the practical capacity that real change requires.
Democracy
Civic participation, civic tech,
and democratic resilience
From civic participation programmes to civic tech platforms, from media literacy to social entrepreneurship — our democracy work strengthens the skills, tools, and policy environments that healthy democracies depend on.
THE CONNECTING THREAD
What unites our work across all five priorities.
Empowering people
Every priority area is ultimately about giving individuals and communities the skills, tools, and knowledge to participate fully in social, economic, and political life.
Co-design with communities
We design with the people our work is intended to serve — not for them. Their lived experience shapes our methods, materials, and measures of success.
Practical, not symbolic
Tools, training, and outcomes that change daily reality — not awareness campaigns or position papers that change nothing. We measure ourselves on what people can do after our projects end.
European, by design
Our work is built through European-funded consortia — Erasmus+, CERV, Horizon, ESC — with 40+ partners across 18 countries. Cross-border collaboration is built in.
